Siapa Takut Jatuh Cinta[1] (abbreviated STJC), also known as Siapa Takut Jatuh Cinta Reborn,[2] is a 2017 remake of the 2002 series of the same name. Both series are loosely adapted from Yoko Kamio's Boys Over Flowers and the Taiwanese drama, Meteor Garden (2001).[3] The series was produced in Indonesia by SinemArt (formerly Prima Entertainment). Show The series stars Natasha Wilona, Verrell Bramasta, Aliando Syarief, and Bryan Domani. Syarief left the show in December 2017 and was replaced by Teejay Marquez. It began airing November 13, 2017 on SCTV.[4] The final episode aired on October 28, 2018.[5] Starting in April 2020, Siapa Takut Jatuh Cinta was rebroadcast.[6] The plot follows Laras (Wilona), a scholarship student, and her tangles with Vino (Bramasta) and his friends. PremiseLaras' (Natasha Wilona) dreams come true when she gets a scholarship to study at Palm University. She wants to change her family's lives for the better and make her father, Samsul (Boy Tirayoh), proud. Unfortunately, Samsul has to leave Jakarta to chase after his former business partner, who cheated him out of money. Laras remains behind and supports herself by getting a part-time job as a delivery person. During one of these deliveries, she is nearly hit by a car, containing Vino (Verrell Bramasta) and Leon (Bryan Domani). The drama premiered on November 13, 2017 on SCTV.[10] The Siapa Takut Jatuh Cinta remake began airing just a few months after the Meteor Garden remake (2018) was announced.[11] Syarief left the show on December 18, 2017. The show has been accused of plagiarizing Meteor Garden.[21] It follows Oni (Hartanti), a tomboyish girl from a poor family, forced to intend an upper-class school by her mother. She clashes with the school's ruling clique lead by Indra (Bruggman). He starts to develop feelings for Oni, but she likes his friend Roger (Danuarta).
