These guys did such a great job at surprising my partner for his 40th. The room and guest service were impeccable. Such friendly staff, made such a big difference. Got to love that Bali hospitality!!!!

We were so happy to the chosen as the guests of the day and receiving such a warm welcome from Sofitel particularly Kartika and Wahyu who escorted us to the room and introduced the nice places to visit in Bali. Well done!

Excellent relaxing stay in this wonderful resort

We stayed 6 wonderful nights in Bali. We decided to stay at the Sofitel due to a) the last 3 month reviews and b) price. We’ve stayed in Nusa Dua a few times and have stayed at the Westin, Laguna and Novotel and this was one of if not the best. We had two King beach view rooms (6220 and 6218). We had requested joining rooms and had sent requests a number of times which the hotel told us had to be dealt with on arrival (I have no idea why they couldn’t allocate this in advance). Despite these requests when we did arrive and they couldn’t accommodate our request. Our 16 year old son was not in the next room, but one next to that. We accepted it given we didn’t have much choice although there was an option to move two days later. Our son was happy with his room so we left it as is - but point of note that if you want connected rooms, this was not the best experience. The rooms are also configured, king, double, king, double so the adjoining rooms best suited to family of 4 or more. Apart from this, the rest of the stay was fantastic. The rooms were large and well maintained and cleaned everyday without fail. Our balcony overlooked the pool and you could see the beach and sea from a distance (they are not that close!). The breakfast buffet was awesome - pretty much everything you can want including a juice bar, egg station, noodle station, patisserie room, etc etc. My son was in heaven. We would get to breakfast about 930am and still comfortably got a table - it did get a bit busy but not uncomfortably so. The pool and pool bar were fantastic- clean, great service and with happy hour cocktails from 3pm. Pool loungers were plentiful but began to be taken by about 1030pm - not too much hogging of loungers and we found space everyday. You could also lounge by the beach if that’s what you wanted. There was always someone walking around if you wanted to order drinks or food by the pool. The restaurant by the beach is currently being renovated - we managed a drink and bite to eat on our first night there only for it to close the next day. There seems to be a bit of development in Nusa Dua going on and the beach side hotel massages wouldn’t be so great with drill noise in your ear. I did go to the inside hotel spa which was excellent and very reasonable with a 50% discount applied. We only ate once in the hotel at La Cucina, a decent Italian restaurant overlooking the pool. Worth a visit but there’s lots of other restaurants in the area only a short and cheap taxi ride away. Anyway - on the whole all the family were impressed with the resort and think when we come back to Bali, this is the place to return too.

Perfect hotel for all kind of holiday

We really have fun and enjoy our stayed at the hotel. From the front gate, lobby, pool area, front beach, everything is perfect. The staff are also great and professional. Big thumbs up for the breakfast buffet, fells like in food heaven. The only dissapointment is we only stay there for one day. Next time we definetely will stay longer.
