How do you recover data on Sims FreePlay?

Hey @Wulfsimmer, sorry for the delayed reply! It's been crazy busy lately! ><

There have been quite a few cases where Simmers have been able to retrieve game progress that is older than a week. We do recommend Simmers save often to the cloud just in case the unexpected happens (like an accidental phone reset, or something very weird happens to their game).

In cases of emergency, our support team can also help out and sometimes they can retrieve old game saves, but it depends upon the situation a Simmer finds themselves in. So there's a couple options there

How do you recover data on Sims FreePlay?

We've got a handy article here about Cloud Saving, hopefully it will help clear up any questions you might have but as always, please feel free to ask here in the sub-forum too!

I don't think you can get the old game back. I do know when you have

Facebook

, you can save your game there. To do so, pause the game, click the cloud, and follow the steps. (Login, upload, save etc). Please note, you data will only be saved for 7 days, so upload the game every week to be sure you won't lose it again.
For now good luck rebuilding. It has benefits... I learned to save

LP

's when I had to start over after update!

Always look on the bright side ;-)

I had the same problem. I went onto settings and went onto the cloud. When you get into the cloud it will give you the option to download the data you had from a week ago and all of your progress comes back

I accidentally erased my city when I was cleaning up my home page. I freaked out, emailed them and looked on here. Thought I was lost forever because I never saved it anywhere!! I ended up starting to build the first couple things starting over until Daniel, the city friend said to come visit him. After that I hit the tools/setting button and hit the log in with Facebook button even though I never used it there or saved it. I hit the button and a couple of city's ca,emup from before and I found my city I lost. It will ask you if you want to permanently erase the other cities or the one you just started so say yes and your old city will come up with all the progress saved.

Something similar happened to me! Long story short I started Sims like 3 years ago on my phone and then got kinda bored of it and I wanted to start again but still keep my progress that I reached on my phone so I downloaded the app on my iPod and I didn't connect to gamecenter or Facebook so that I can have two separate cities on my phone and iPod but then one day I accidentally clicked to connect to Facebook on my iPod so my progress on my phone erased and now I only have the stuff saved from my iPod so my 3 year game progress is gone

I had the game on my iPod touch in 2011, an I got really far in it. I was at like level 36, I had over 20 Sims, I had a million simoleones and then I deleted the game because it made me mad. A month later I got a new phone so I got the game on there and I started a new game. Is there any way I can get my first game back?!?

I stated all over with a new game, but miss some of my old Sims. Wish there was a way to reconnect with them since they've already been created. Is it possible? I miss my favorite daughter Tanji.

Does Sims FreePlay save your progress?

The Sims FreePlay saves to the Cloud any time you visit the Party Boat and collect your daily social rewards. Easy, right? It's best to manually back up your game by uploading to the cloud regularly, though.

What happens if I delete Sims FreePlay?

This involves deleting or uninstalling the application and downloading it again. If not done carefully this can result in a loss of progress. If possible, ensure you have uploaded your game to the Cloud before reinstalling the game. This will minimise if not eliminate any loss of progress.
