Why cant I link my bank account to Facebook?

When you purchase Facebook ad space for your business, you are required to enter your credit card information to set up a new ad campaign. Facebook gives you the option to remove your data, which is ideal if you no longer want to use this advertising service or are concerned about privacy risks. Erase all your credit cards on Facebook using the settings in your account.

  1. Log in to your Facebook account, then click the "Account Settings" option in the Account drop-down menu on the top right of any page.

  2. Click the "Payments" link, then click the "Manage" link next to the Payment Methods title.

  3. Enter your password as requested, then click the "Continue" button.

  4. Delete all the credit card information and other data you want. Click the "Close" button to save your changes.

Saving your User ID can be a convenience, but there are a number of best practices you should observe when doing so.

Saving an User ID

We highly recommend you have only one User ID – and not share it with anyone else – as a way of helping keep your financial and personal information safe. Learn more about account security

  • To save your User ID so it will be prefilled each time you log in, simply check the box that says Save User ID before you select the Log In button. This will automatically save the User ID to your browser.
    • If you switch from one browser to another (for example, from Edge to Chrome), you will need to save your User ID to your new browser
    • Never save an User ID if you are accessing our site from a public computer

Saving multiple User IDs

You may have more than one User ID, such as when you have a second one for your small business. If you wish to save multiple User IDs, follow these steps:

  • Log in to Online Banking using each User ID. Be sure to check the box that says Save User ID before you select the Log In button.
  • The next time you visit the home page, you’ll see the User ID prefilled with the ID most recently used. You can click the User ID field to see a dropdown list of all User IDs saved to the browser.
  • Due to security reasons, we can only reveal first 4 characters of the User ID, so make sure the first 4 characters of each User ID are different from each other.

Deleting saved User IDs

You can delete User IDs by signing into Online Banking and selecting the Security Center tab. In the User ID portion of the Sign-in settings area, select the Review your saved User IDs link and click Delete to remove saved IDs from your browser.

  1. Tap the Profile Icon on your Cash App home screen
  2. Select Linked Banks
  3. Tap Link Bank
  4. Follow the prompts

To modify a linked bank account:

  1. Tap the Profile Icon on your Cash App home screen
  2. Select Linked Banks
  3. Select the bank account you want to replace or remove
  4. Tap Remove Bank or Replace Bank
  5. Follow the prompts

  1. Sign in to your account on capitalone.com. Please note, this feature is not available through the mobile app.
  2. Select your profile picture at the top right of the screen and choose Account & Feature Settings.
  3. Find External Accounts and select Add External Account.
  4. Enter information about the external account you’re trying to link.


You'll need to complete the verification linking process before you can start moving money.

Please note: If this is a joint Capital One account, each owner needs to link the external account separately if they want to use it to transfer money.

For starters, I just want to say I would bey very appreciative if you read this post and offered any assistance you can.

For the past 3 days, I have been repeatedly trying to connect my bank account to my marketplace account so I can ship items I already sold. No matter what I do, Facebook will not properly accept my bank account information. I have double and triple checked my routing and account number to be absolutely 100% I entered it correctly.

I tried multiple browsers and 2 different devices, however it still will not work. On my laptop, when I click on the button to link my bank account, nothing happens. The page goes unresponsive and the window does not open. When I click that same button on my phone, however, it does guide me to the correct screen to enter my account number, routing number, legal name and address. I enter it 100% accurately, however Facebook guides me back to my "your listings" page and presents me with the same link to 'link my bank account'. This causes a continuous loop of entering my bank info, and then being led back to the same button that is telling me to link my account. I have been trying to resolve this for days, and I have customers who will not receive there products on time because of this Facebook error.

Your bank account may not be accepted for one of the following reasons: The bank details you provided are for an account that has been closed. Your bank doesn't allow direct debit payments from your account. Contact your bank to see if they allow direct debit payments.
To add a payment method:.
Open your Messenger app..
Tap your profile picture in the top left..
Scroll down and tap Facebook Pay..
Tap Add new debit card or PayPal..
Tap Add Debit Card or Add PayPal..
Enter your payment method information, then tap Save..

Why can't I add a payment method on Facebook?
