If your the type that likes to add allot of different things to your dishes when you cook but dread the chopping, then the OXO Good Grips Easy-Pour Vegetable Chopper is for you. Just place onions, peppers or whatever vegetable you prefer on the blades and push down and instantly get small pieces to add to your dishes. A removable rubber grid helps making cleaning easy. Blades are sharp so be careful. One thing, for me anyway, if your the type that is use to making quick work of chopping then the chopper may take some getting use to, but I'm not writing it off will keep using it. And as usual, the OXO name means a quality made product.

This handy little chopper is the best thing since bubble gum. I have another similar chopper that is larger and produces a smaller dice. I have used it a lot. This OXO Vegetable Chopper is a smaller unit that produces a larger dice. It does not need to be disassembled to pour out the chopped fruits or veggies. Just empty it through the opening in the back. A huge improvement ! It can be disassembled for easier cleaning. The stainless steel chopper blades are not as sharp from the bottom. They are very sharp from the top. It does a very good chopping job with very little effort. Cleans easily and can be stored just about anywhere. Well done!!

Okay for a basic chopper, watch fingers when chopping harder things like an apple with the skin on it, because it take a lot of pressure to get the blades started, and then it goes through very quickly. What I don't like about this chopper is that you only get one size, which is built in. There are other models that are only a little more expensive, but that offer the option to inter-change the blades. That saves a ton of space in your cupboards if you want different sizes. The top does not come off, which can make it a little more difficult to clean. It holds about 2.5 cups of chopped produce. Good for a quick way to make bite-sized pieces for young kids too.

The Oxo Food Chopper is a convenient "quick-grab" for chopping almost anything in the kitchen and is small enough to store when not in use. I especially love the silicone pad that prevents the food from sticking to the chopper and the wide, easy pour opening for emptying the container! I have used it for onions, home fries, apples, and solid tomatoes so far and I have been pleased with the results. The chopper snaps apart to easily wash in the dishwasher too! The chopping size isn't excessively large, but I do wish they offered a smaller size insert as well.

This OXO 2.5-cup vegetable chopper works well. The blades are sharp and it was easy to push the lid down and chop whatever I tried chopping. The container and the lid come off for cleaning. The soft, removable grid helps keep food from sticking to the teeth. I like the idea of the easy-pour, but I found that even shaking it did not remove all the vegetables from the container and had to be disassembled. It would have been nice to have a deeper container so I could make longer french fries, and I would also have liked the choice of a smaller chopping grid - this cuts 7/16" squares. The onions are larger than I usually chop them, and they were not uniform in size. Cleaning is easy when disassembled, but the stainless steel grid needed a brush to clean each square. So if I only had a small amount of vegetables to cut, I would probably just use a knife.

This is a great time saver for any cook chopping up vegetables and it works great. I can chop a medium to large onion in one motion. I prefer to cut it in half to make it a little easier but this chopper is up for the task either way. I have found that especially on onions that I have to put a slice in the sides of the onion, otherwise I get long strips since it chops in a grid and the layers of the onion are circular. It has a good capacity for the chopped vegies and it is easy to dump them out or pop the bottom tray off to get easy access to your food. Great device.

THIS IS A WELL MADE PRODUCT, VERY SOLID AND NOT FLIMSY. THE VEGETABLE CHOPPER COMES APART EASY, IT HAS 4 DIFFERENT SECTIONS, WHICH MAKES IT EASY TO CLEAN, EITHER BY HAND OR DISHWASHER. IT ALSO IS EASY TO USE, JUST PUT PRE CUT VEGETABLES ON METAL GRATE AND PRESS DOWN. YOU WILL NEED TO PUT A LITTLE EFFORT IN CLEANING BUT WELL WORTH IT, BECAUSE OF THE VERY GOOD RESULTS. I CUT ONIONS AT A LARGE SIZE EASY AND CUKES AS WELL.

I wanted to love this chopper. I was afraid I had broken it with the first onion slice that was a little too thick. I will show pictures below of learning curve to make anything chop. It is a great idea but it takes longer to use it than to just use a paring knife to chop. If you want pretty cubes for some reason I hope you have patience and time. It will take a lot of practice on just exactly how slices of something has to be to not be stuck in the little squares and have to punch them out without, perhaps, slicing a finger. Slices have to be about 1/3", peel side must be down or you will be poking all of it out of those tiny squares. I hate to say I would not recommend it but there are easier ways to chop something. It may just be me but I was not impressed.

This kitchen gadget is a lifesaver and a serious time saver!! Anything that prevents me from grabbing a knife and slicing, I am all for. Easy to chop just about anything with the sharp blades, and the design of this makes it easy to clean and the uniform cut is great. The only drawback I see is that I would have liked a second interchangeable blade with either larger or smaller cuts. Nice piece of equipment for your kitchen

How to clean OXO Vegetable Chopper

How do you clean an oxo chopper?

All parts are dishwasher safe. Store leftover chopped food in the cup, cover it with the white cup cap and refrigerate. To order additional OXO GOOD GRIPS Chopper cups (with cup cap and cup base), call the OXO Consumer Care Center at (800)545.4411 or log on to www.oxo.com.

How do you open an oxo chopper?

Remove top of container by pressing on the 3 dots located under the opening at the back of the container. 2. Open lid and lift to separate from body. All pieces are top-rack dishwasher safe.

Can you put a vegetable chopper in the dishwasher?

Cleaning a food chopper can be different depending on which one you choose. Many of them are dishwasher-safe (or top rack-safe) so make sure to read the manual. Be careful to never put any electric pieces into the dishwasher. If using a hand-pull chopper, try not to get the hand pull overly wet.
